Unyielding threads
Inspired by the sublime eternal grace of mountains and the indomitable power of womankind, my artwork weaves these elements into a harmonious exploration of strength, resilience, and beauty.
In the breathtaking landscapes of Iran's mountains lives a poignant metaphor for the arduous journey that women in my country undertake as they fight for fundamental rights and human rights. Iranian women stand tall in the face of adversity. As the peaks rise defiantly against time and sky, so does their courage, determination, and force of will.
From the rugged terrain of the Zagros Mountains to the Alborz range, the serene majesty of the mountains is mirrored in the unwavering resolve of Iranian women, who assert their rights and demand equality in the face of constant oppression and danger. Each peak is a testament to the strength and resilience of those who refuse to be silenced or subdued.
As I meticulously sew with red thread on linen fabric, intricately weaving the contours of the female body and contrasting the power of red and gentle linen, I am reminded of the vibrant spirit of Iranian women, whose voices echo across the valleys and peaks of time, calling for change and inspiring hope for a brighter future.
My work illuminates Iranian women's courage and fortitude, honoring their resilience and unwavering spirit as they risk safety and freedom in their quest for justice and equality. Each of my stitches tells a universal story of resilience and courage, inviting viewers to join in solidarity with women everywhere who defy boundaries and strive for a world where all are treated with dignity and respect.
